3D Printing diameter holes and posts, what are the limits to whats possible.
Welcome Back! In this the second blog in the series on 3D Print Design tips, we are going to challenge what is the minimum diameter hole than can be successfully 3D Printed, we will also check out what is the minimum shaft / post diameter that is printable. In both instances, we will be using our Objet-Polyjet 3D Printing technology. In early 2017 NeraTek intends carrying out all the experiments that we will have conducted and reported on using the Polyjet process, but instea

Continuing on from the question regarding minimum wall thickness that can be successfully 3D Printed
As you can see both test pieces printed perfectly. I was careful with the removal of the support material during both the water jet cleaning and when finishing off the cleaning with the small brush. I guess the main reason for having to be careful with the thinner wall sections (0.3mm to 0.6mm) was due to the fact that the gap that exists between walls were only 5mm, so sometimes when accessing the inner side walls with the brush I would have to slightly push the other wall a

What is the minimum wall thickness I can 3D Print successfully with 3D Polyjet Technology?
This is an interesting question; one I get asked often. There is a second part to this question, and that is, if the wall has draft on it, like you might find on a container, tub or box, etc. These questions and ones like them I intend to challenge every couple of weeks in my blog. The information here may be useful to designers when they are creating 3D Solid Models of prototypes that will be later 3D Printed. We must also consider the different technologies available for 3D
